Our mission

"To form Christian ministers who are able to organize churches, carry out effective ministry and faithful witness to Jesus Christ throughout Ukraine."

Andrey Mikhailovich Konovalchuk

Rector of ZBS, teacher of the Old Testament, homiletics

ZSS is not just a theory

At all times, the church has needed qualified and dedicated ministers. And when in the early 90s the doors for preaching the Word of God were opened, the Lord blessed the brotherhood in a special way with new educational spiritual institutions. Zaporizhzhia Bible Seminary is one of them.

ZBS is a member of the Euro-Asian Accreditation Association (EAAA) and has fully accredited programs. It is a higher educational institution that provides not only theoretical knowledge of theology, specialization, English, ancient Greek and Hebrew, but also teaches how to effectively apply this knowledge in practical ministry.

All this is achieved thanks to the high level of the ZBS faculty. These are reputable teachers who have received higher theological education in the best theological schools and have many years of experience in practical ministry in local churches.

Therefore, the training of consecrated brothers and sisters at the Seminary is a blessing for the churches. For 26 years, the Seminary has trained and graduated more than 800 students. They follow the words of the Apostle Paul and the Seminary's motto from 2 Tim. 2:2: "And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, pass on to faithful men who will be able to teach others."

Today, most graduates serve in Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and the Baltic States as church pastors and preachers, Sunday school teachers and regents, youth ministry leaders, children's and teenage club leaders, missionaries, and seminary teachers.

Doctrine

We believe that the canonical books of Scripture are the divinely inspired word of God, the perfect revelation of God's will for the salvation of men. The books of the Bible are the only supreme authority in all matters of Christian faith and life.

We believe in one Creator God, absolutely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Holy Spirit glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ, convicts people of sin, regenerates them to new life, dwells in them, and fills them with power for godly life and service.

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of the Father as our Advocate.

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and died spiritually. He can be reborn to salvation and spiritual life only through the work of the Holy Spirit and the word of God.

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection are the only way for all people to be saved. Those who repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as Lord are born of the Holy Spirit and become children of God.

We believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are commandments of the Lord that the Church keeps. However, without saving faith, they do not provide salvation.

We believe that the true Church is composed of people of all times and all nations, regenerated by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ and united in the Body of Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Head of the Church, and that each local church is under His leadership.

We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, who will appear to rapture the church and judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead: for believers - to glory, eternal bliss and joy; for unbelievers - to condemnation and eternal torment.

We believe in the need to fulfill the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." (Matthew 28:19-20).
